[Travel Logs] During my trip to Sweden I was another espectator of winter games, like the Royal Palace sprint 2016 FIS World Cup and the WRC Rally Championship.
More pictures are available at my Flickr Photostream. Enjoy!!
The Royal Palace sprint is an important race in the Cross Ski championship and swedish athletes excel in skiing (but also the athletes from Denmark, France, Canada, Germany and so on).
The event got a full media coverage. There were 7 TV cameras and 2 big screens for the audience.
Free non-alcohol beer. Didn't like it so much but it was free so no harm in giving it a try.
A close up picture of the girl serving the drinks.
I also went to see the WRC rally championship stages in the Rally Sweden city of Karlstad. I've become a big fan of WRC in the days were Peter Solberg drove for Subaru Team in his Subaru Impressa.
I've played the Collin Mcrae PC game as well so I knew a lot of the Rally terminology, rules, stages, etc.
I took a lot of pictures but only the best ones are in the gallery.
Photo detail of the Pirelli tires specially designed for snow roads.
The best shot I could possibly take of the long jump at Colins Crest.
This stage is very popular among locals and it was very crowded.
I totally liked the green eyes and the face of the swedish girl.
