New Horizons
Good news!! Finally Im in a new job. After almost a month of being unemployed Im back in business. As for now, Im working as a IT Instructor (trainer) in a computer training company. My employer required a MCSE certified professional to teach Windows Server 2003 and since Im certified I came into scene.
I always thought my certifications would lead me to a better job opportunities, but after being unemployed I realized that in here some companies and employers dont care too much about certifications or pays too low retributions. Does it happens the same near you??
Well, Im glad working now as an Instructor. I like to think Im teaching server features and key elements to the new generations of Database administrators, Server administrators, support technicians and so on. Also my learning in my previous job role as Systems Auditor will help me to teach about those unknow topics between IT professionals and Auditors too.
In addition, my employer will be helping me to become a MCITP in Windows Server 2008 so I can become a software expert and a Trainer in that field too, which is ok, because I was planning to become certified after all.
The only bad thing by the moment, apart the salary which is kind of lower than in my previous job, is my working schedule, as it will be between weekdays from 8am to 9.30 pm but anyway I still think it will be a great opportunity for higher things.

Congrats on the new job! Though 8:30am to 9:00pm? I don't know how you do it. lol
Congratulations on new job! For now, it's more important to have a job than to have one that's better than the previous one. Enjoy!
congrats! though those are some pretty rough hours. i hope you're being paid hourly? ^^;
regardless, better to have income to pay bills, even if it's not the perfect scenario ^^;
Congratulations on new job ! ;)
@Seantaku: thx. I guess I'll be used to it.
@7: The good thing is I will have an income as Meronpan says.
@Meronpan: Hard to say if they will pay me extras.
@Lylibellule: Thanks. I have corporate internet and email again. ^^
First off, Congratz. It's great ur back in the workforce as the longer u stay unemployed, it's likely ur skills starts fading away.
Secondary, I hope they give u at least an hour lunch break and dinner breaks cause that's 13.5hrs per a day. I work 10hrs a day and I take at least an hour break (half and hour each for lunch and dinner)despite only getting half an hour overall.
Congratulations!
Doesnt it feel good to be back in business despite beeing paid a bit lower than in your last job?
Those are some tough hours but im sure youll be able to manage it
So as an instructor you will have a class to bitch about? EXCELLENT.
Fucking tough work hours though -_-
@Optic: I have 5 hours for selfstudy so this is my spare time between the 13.5 hrs.
@Blowfish: I was kind of boring in home.
@Snark: Yeah!! Ok, time for a quiz. lol.
Congrats and welcome to salary man world!
Wow Man Thats Great Congratualtions!
@Ryobase & Lightosan: thx. Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.
Hey, congrats on the new job. During these tough times, it's a blessing just to have a job at all. Ah instructor, huh? That's fantastic, since it's meaningful. I've always wanted to teach something, too. I'm not sure if I'll be a good teacher, though.
Uwahh... I'm really late but...
Congrats on the new job phossil-san =D
