The day after the TOEFL
I survived the TOEFL test. It was a very traumatic event (well, not that traumatic) for me, so I decided to share my experience in a post.
I arrived early to the test center. There were 25 persons with me taking the exam that day with me. I met 2 Korean people before the test began. I was so impressed with them, because they were able to spoke (and understand I guess) in 3 languages : Korean, Spanish and English.
TOEFL test is a standarized test so everyone got the same questions. Even before the test began I was very nervious but once the test begun I was so concentrated that my nervousness went away.
Every section was difficult to me, except the writting section. I felt very confortable doing the essays. I think writting in the blog was very helpful in this case.
My worst section was the speaking. I think I was so stressed that I couldnt think and talk in a coherently way. Even after the test I was thinking why I didnt say this or that, but with 15 secs of preparation for the speaking, I hope testers have some mercy.
I think, doing the TOEFL is something everyone should do at least once, unless English is your primary language.
