A week in Bogota (1)
First Day.
I arrived at the Bogota airport "El Dorado" almost noon (11:30AM) and went straight to the Hotel. As Im moving as a backpacker, Im staying at the Platypus Hotel.
The hotel is so-so. If you dont mind the lack of luxury then well its ok. I have to share the room with 5 other backpacker fellows, there isnt tv and you must to share the bathroom.
The good thing is that Im meeting new people from other countries and its a very cool and wonderful experiencie for me. The bad part is that now I realize how bad is my English. LOL.
Well, after I arrived, I took a little walk in the neighborhood, for orientation purposes. As Im very close to the Main Cathedral and in Downtown (Central park) my walk was a little extensive.
After the walk, I returned and prepared my backbag. I took the very cool and modern bus system called Transmilenio, and went to the Museum, the Plaza de Toros and Planetarium.
Then I took a urban bus (the old system, heres a picture of the bus inside) went to Unicentro mall at 127 street and Santa Fe mall at 185 street. Considering Im hosted at 16 Street it was a very long walk.
Returning to the Platypus hotel, now Im dealing with trouble getting my Wi-fi working to get connected to the internet in my laptop.
