Operation Upgrade
After a lot of research, tests and benchmarking i finally can say: Upgrade completed!
Let me tell you, Last week i began to upgrade a Sony Vaio PCG-SR5K laptop. Please dont ask me how did this laptop ended in my hands, because its kind of difficult to explain. Well, this specific Sony laptop, was originally designed for Windows 2000 with only 64 MB of RAM, and the total memory supported was 256MB.
I needed a place where i could buy a new 128 MB memory SIMM for the laptop and i found one. Now, with the new hardware upgrade, i installed Windows XP with Service Pack 2, and the computer has 192 MB of memory in total now. Applications runs a little faster and most important, it supports Windows XP without a significative low performance. Maybe isnt as fast as i would like because of the processor (Pentium III, 500Mhz) but at least it has Windows XP...
Here is a screenshot of the desktop. I also installed a Windows Vista skin, so the laptop looks like it has Windows Vista installed. lol
